Oleg Sergeev: UAE is the most competitive air carrier market in the Middle East

According to the annual Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index, the UAE is ranked first as the most competitive emerging market among the Gulf countries.

This is great news for all airlines operating in the region, including ZetAvia.

The attractiveness of the United Arab Emirates to aviation companies is based on three main factors. These are world-class infrastructure, stable business conditions and strategically advantageous geographic location.

The Competitiveness Index has been calculated for twelve years in a row. According to the results of the rating, the UAE took 4th place among the fifty participating countries, topped the regional market and, in addition, became the first in three separate regional sub-indices at once.

The developed infrastructure of the UAE, combined with geographical accessibility, stability, economic transformation and ease of doing business, allow the Arab Emirates to remain among the leading logistics centers in the world, despite the pandemic.

The top ten of the index includes two more countries in the Persian Gulf: Saudi Arabia is in sixth place and Qatar is in ninth place.
